You will need to be sure to contact Spiderdoor after your keypads are installed and have your gate access hours plugged in. If you do not provide those hours to Spiderdoor, your tenants will default to 24 hour access ( unless tenant is delinquent and then it locks them out immediately.)
Also, there is a delay in regard to updating keypads, that is associated with some of our self storage management software partners. For this reason, we provide a cushion on your access hours as you do not want a customer that is standing at your gate at 5:00am to be denied access right at 5:00am. The ultimate goal with business hours is to detour criminal activity from happening during the night.
So if your access hours are 5:00am - 11:00pm, we would set your hours to something like 4:40am - 11:00pm. Again this is done due to propagation of the codes. We can tighten the hours up if you desire but understand you may potentially lock out a customer a few minutes after 5:00am if you choose to do this. Remember, tenants could gain access a few minutes early as well as a few minutes after denied access time.
